The Presbyterian Mission Agency is the ministry and mission agency of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). Five ministry areas carry out our missional work: Compassion, Peace and Justice; Evangelism and Church Growth; Racial Ethnic and Women’s Ministries/Presbyterian Women; Theology, Worship and Education; and World Mission. Together with Shared Services, Communications, and Funds Development, these ministry areas work to inspire, equip, and connect all Presbyterians for the church’s work.
Mid East Church MEC is a fellow member of the PC(USA) and the Presbytery of San Gabriel. They hold their own worship services at Calvary on a weekly basis as well as provide opportunities for fellowship and spuiritual growth. For more information on MEC, pelase visit http://mideastchurch.net.
St. James Episcopal Church Calvary partners with St. James with our Deacon run Food Bank. You can get involved by dropping off canned or dry goods into the box in the Sanctuary narthex (lobby) or downstairs next to Fellowship Hall. These gifts are delivered by the Deacons to the community food locker located at Saint James Episcopal Church, where donations are distributed on a weekly basis to local families in need. Please remember the Food Bank when grocery shopping. You may also donate with cash or check by using the green pew envelopes marked Food Bank.
Sierra Service Project SSP is a Christian non-profit organization providing life-changing experiences through acts of service repairing homes in Native American and urban communities and serving in Central America. We invite junior high and high school age youth and young adults to experience the profound power of serving people who have a culture and life experience different from their own.
Angel Interfaith Network Angel Interfaith Network is local faith groups, businesses, civic organizations and individuals organized to reach out to our neighbors in times of crisis. Angel Interfaith Network (AIN) partners with L.A. County + USC Healthcare Network to meet unique physical and spiritual needs of patients and families with neighbor to neighbor support.
Union Station Homeless Services In 1973, a group of community volunteers opened Union Station as a simple hospitality center to serve poor and homeless men in downtown Pasadena. Today, Union Station is the San Gabriel Valley’s largest and most comprehensive social service agency assisting homeless and low-income people. Our mission is to help, men, women, and children rebuild their lives and to end homelessness. The following is a timeline of that spectacular growth.
